At Fazenda Kavili, crops are grown in a favourable environment. Alongside its Arabica Caturra coffee trees, the farm cultivates maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, soybeans and a range of vegetables. It also produces lemons, avocados, bananas, pitangas, papayas, plums, apples, pineapples, passion fruit and mangoes.
This diversity reflects a clear vision led by Claude Maeder:
— to develop farming practices without the use of synthetic fertilisers or synthetic pesticides. The aim is to preserve soil quality over the long term, support natural balances and produce in harmony with the rhythm of the seasons.
In Ebanga, each crop therefore forms part of a coherent agricultural project, attentive to the land and its environment.
