A varied range of produce reflecting the changing seasons in Ebanga

Situated at an altitude of between 1,300 and 1,700 metres, Fazenda Kavili enjoys the tropical highland climate of the Ebanga Mountains. The rainy season runs from October to April, with the heaviest rainfall occurring between November and March. From May to September, the dry season brings sunny days and cooler nights. In July, temperatures can reach around 28°C during the day and drop to 13°C at night.

Fazenda Kavili grows Caturra variety Arabica coffee, as well as maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, soya and vegetables, along with lemons, avocados, bananas, pitangas, papayas, plums, apples, pineapples, passion fruit, figs and mangoes. This diversity allows the land to be used in a sustainable way and helps to provide food for the staff, their families and local communities.

At Fazenda Kavili, every crop is part of a long-term agricultural system: one that respects the soil, adapts to the rhythm of the seasons and is deeply rooted in the mountains of Benguela.
